Accessibility at Yankee Pedlar

Our commitment

We are working to make winnire.com conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard used to make websites usable for people with a wide range of abilities, including those who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, screen magnification, or reduced motion settings.

What we have done

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and recent work on the public site includes:

• Color and text contrast tuned to meet the AA standard.
• A skip-to-content link and clear, visible keyboard focus on every page.
• Photo galleries, menus, and pop-ups that can be opened, browsed, and closed with a keyboard alone.
• Form fields with proper labels, and error messages that are read aloud by screen readers.
• Meaningful text descriptions on photos and buttons, and respect for the “reduce motion” setting.

Where we are still improving

Some parts of the site draw on outside services, such as the interactive maps and the multiple listing service (MLS) feed for homes for sale. We do not control how those are built, so a few areas may not yet be fully accessible. Where a map is the main way to explore, we also provide the same places and listings in a plain list. If you come across something that is hard to use, we would genuinely like to hear about it so we can fix it or help you directly.

If any part of this site is difficult to use, or you need information in a different format, please reach out. We are happy to help you find a rental, look at a listing, or answer a question by phone or email, and we will do our best to respond within one business day.
